Cheryl Cole, the world’s second most beautiful woman of the 20th century to our joy has released a second album. On her album cover as always she looks beautiful, but her latest songs featured on the album, fairly average but not to the great standard we had hoped for.
Through her recent traumas with her very public divorce with footballer and former husband Ashley Cole, Cheryl’s life was completely transformed. With pressure on her in completing the album whilst dealing with her depression, things for Cheryl became extremely difficult. Not to mention a severe malaria scare earlier this year that nearly led to her death! There’s no wonder she’s been depressed and lost all motivation.
But did that stop her from fighting back? Not at all! She released her latest album ‘Messy Little Raindrops’ on November 1st which immediately took off with her appearance song on x factor ‘Promise this’. Unfortunately her number one song with this track didn’t stay number one for long and fell back down in the chart after just one week.
The majority of Cheryl’s songs featured on the album are metaphors of the sadness she has had in her life recently, such as: The Flood, Raindrops and Cold Heart. This I believe was disappointing to a few of Cheryl’s fans as it doesn’t reflect the true Cheryl Cole who was more than happy when she was in the former girl band ‘Girls Aloud’. Nevertheless we appreciate the effort Cheryl went to in completing the album and fighting back after everything that has happened to her recently these past few months. Hats off to you Cheryl!
